Folks, Among all the 'qooxdoo must be like the other js FWs' posts. I'd just like to note, that I like the way, the qooxdoo build infrastructure works very much ... its predefined application structure suits me just fine.
I like not having to re-invent the 'application structure wheel' at every level. The qooxdoo structure and build system was/is what makes the framework so appealing to me. It brings some order to the usual javascript jumble of code where half the people involved seem to copy past woodoo bits of magic without haveing any real vision as to what is going on. Using the contrib fw I can publish my additions and with qx.Class.patch I can even replace core bits without having to modify any of the core files this lets me test even rather fundamental changes. cheers tobi -- Tobi Oetiker, OETIKER+PARTNER AG, Aarweg 15 CH-4600 Olten, Switzerland http://it.oetiker.ch [email protected] ++41 62 775 9902 / sb: -9900 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing. http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ qooxdoo-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qooxdoo-devel
