welcome to the qooxdoo project!
To get started with qooxdoo the best place to start is the "Getting Started"
section at the manual.

This helps you to setup your development environment and introduces you in the
basics. Furthermore you can exercise the "Tutorials" to get your hands on
qooxdoo.
A widget which probably suit your needs might be the "Table" widget. Take a
look at the demobrowser
http://demo.qooxdoo.org/current/demobrowser/#table~Table.html
to get a first impression. The table is a virutal widget which only renders the
data which is visible.
To get more deeper into the task of providing your data, you can take a look at
the remote table model documentation
http://manual.qooxdoo.org/1.2.x/pages/widget/table_remote_model.html
With the remote table model you can load the data in blocks to only display the
data which is actually visible - so it performs very well with large amounts of
data. You can also use your backend to implement a search in combination with
this remote table model.
