I spoke too soon: my changes only fixed the appearance, the selectbox, when generated by qooxdoo's _javascript_, is not clickable. I don't have any idea why, possibly a bug in ios's safari? Works fine on every other browser I tested. This bug is easily replicable in the most up-to-date ios simulator as well as on my iphone 3gs. Greg
