Hi Scott,
yes, a list widget would be a good choice. I would recommend using a virtual
list together with data binding to get your task done.
Advantages:
* You can fetch your data from your backend and setup a model -> the
list will automatically update itself
* Only the visible widgets will be rendered -> faster / more responsive
UI, since you can't exactly know you many results you have to show

Unfortunately, there is no ready-to-use example for your use case. However, I
put together a small example with you can start with:

You only have to implement the AJAX call and a basic implementation should be
finished. Important is to stop the AJAX calls or to remember the last call,
since you're only interested in the result of the last AJAX call and can forget
the former calls.
