Here are additional info how I call the webservice...

  var req = new qx.io.request.Xhr(url).set({
                   method: method,
                   async : false,
                   timeout: 20000
               });
               req.setAuthentication(new
qx.io.request.authentication.Basic(this.getUsername(), this.getPassword()));

               req.setRequestHeader("X-GERMO-No-Auth-Header", "1"); //damit bei
unautherized kein Browser-Login kommt

               if (jsonString != null && jsonString != "") {
                   req.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/json");
                   req.setRequestData(jsonString);
               }

Betreff: [qooxdoo-devel] How to get Responsetext when exception occurs during
remote-call?

Hi,

within my qooxdoo 2.1.1 app I call webservices to get some data from the server.

How can I access the responsetext when an exception occurs?

[cid:[email protected]]

I want to display this message to the user.

This is the event-listener where the exception gets caught.

req.addListener("fail", function (e) {
exception = e;
}, this);

This is the exception-object-type:

qx.event.type.Event[14-0] { $$hash="14-0" , $$initialized= true , _type= "fail"
, more...}

Thanks
Tobi
