Thank you very much for your helpful comment. I can verify that the cursor is
not working as expected in IE 10. The behavior is exactly as you described when
trying to resize the leftmost or rightmost column. When trying to resize inner
columns, I didn't get any resize-cursor at all.
It would be great if you could report the bug at http://bugzilla.qooxdoo.org.
Our framework-team will then resolve it as soon as possible.

In firefox everything is fine.
In IE (only tried it with version 10) the mouse-cursor only change to “resize”
when I move it to the top or bottom of the table-header-cell.
I can still resize with the “pointer-cursor” but if it doesn’t change to
“resize” the user will not know that he can resize the column ;)
