One of the things I'm always struck by is how much easier it was to find what I want on the _old_ Qooxdoo website - obviously everyone imagines the past differently and Qx was a very different (& smaller) product back then, but the fact that I navigate the website almost exclusively via bookmarks makes me skeptical about it's ability to engage any kind of user.
I'm not a new user and I don't know anyone who is so this is just my two cents - but IMHO there's a big gap between the tutorials and the API docs. Yes, the demo browser presents poorly but it is full of really useful gems. Perhaps a solution would be to selectively upgrade the demo browser samples into playground samples, in a helpful structure and perhaps with a code review if necessary?
