Many people are not aware of the migration when upgrading their qooxdoo version. The release notes are usually explicit about it:
(qx 2.1.2) : "... Nothing needs to be changed in ... your existing apps if they are based on the previous 2.1.1 or 2.1 releases." [1] (qx 3.0) : "Some manual migration steps might be necessary when upgrading from the previous releases, see the Migration guide." [2] (... which then goes on to say that you need to run the 'migration' job). So rule of thumb: Apart from upgrading between patch releases of the same minor version do run the migration. It cannot hurt, if there are actually no migration steps for your upgrade path nothing will happen. T.
