Hi Vishal,

you could also just use "setInterval" for sending requests periodically 
and update the progress bar accordingly. The delay would depend on how 
much time the overall server process will take and how precise you want 
to be with your progress display.

Besides of typical polling there is also:

* Long Polling
* Server-Sent Events
* HTML5 Websockets

but I guess this would be overkill for your kind of use case [1]. :)
