Hi Jeroen,

you can't set the text color by code, because this value will alway be used
and the appearance value will be ignored. Furthermore you can't control the
text color with the widget state, because the state is only used from the
appearance.

But you can set a custom appearance id by code. Just define a custom id,
extend from the original "menu-button" and do your adaptions:
