the above html is working fine in android device, android simulator, desktop
safari and desktop chrome. but the same is not working in IOS simulator.

And it works correctly when you run your qx app inside desktop chrome
for instance ? If not, it might be because qoxdoo mobile adds a
pointer-events:none to the renderer div styles. Try to force
style="pointer-events:all;" into your html and see what happens.
