Hi,

First of all, for this question you should use the atmlab or qpack mailing list. See

http://www.radiativetransfer.org/tools/#atmlab

Secondly, atmlab is just a collection of matlab functions, but containing Qarts and Qpack. The basic interface to ARTS is denoted as Qarts. Qarts itself just supports forward model simulations. If you want to perform retrievals, then you need to also consider Qpack. Qpack can be seen as an extension of Qarts, that also provides support for OEM type retrievals.

The documentation of Qarts and Qpack is found in atmlab/documentation

The documentation of qarts is just rudimentary. The best way to learn Qarts and Qpack is probably to look at the files in atmlab/demos.

If you are already familiar with ARTS, this helps a lot!

Bye,

Patrick

HI all,
I only performed the ARTS before, but now I will use Atmlab to do some
retrieval work. I want to know where I can find user guide for Atmlab, like
the ARTS User guide, or some examples of Atmlab controfiles. I am not familiar
with matlab, and try to learn it.
        Looking forward for your reply.
        Best wishes,
