Concerning your question, the MuPDF plug-in is still considered experimental and hence it is not built by default ATM. So you'll currently have to rebuild from source following the instructions from the README file. However, since you're running the dailydebs anyway, I'll hope to find the time to make it into a split package where you can either choose to install Poppler or MuPDF as PDF plug-ins (you can not have both as Poppler with then be preferred).
