Adam Reichold posted a new comment: Hello iBart, it is possible to add highlight annotations, i.e. add a colored background that can also carry some comment using the annotation tool. If you just mean caret-based text selection, then this is not yet implemented. I'll link the related long-standing bug report to this question for more details...
