New question #678560 on qpdfview:
https://answers.launchpad.net/qpdfview/+question/678560

Hello,

Long time user of qpdfview here, on Gentoo Linux.

Since yesterday, quite often (but not always), qpdfview just goes into some
kind of loop instead of displaying a document. This does not seem to be linked
to any new way to create pdf on our platform, since qpdfview does this even
with old docs (several years old, unchanged since, displayed ok till now).

The interface is displayed, as are the thumbnails or outlines (but everything
is unusable). The document only shows the « clock icon » in the upper left
corner. And qpdfview eats 100% CPU (on one core only, so the computer is still
usable).

Currently the problem seems to have been solved by renaming the
.config/qpdfview directory, thus making the tool create a new one.

Any idea about what could have gone wrong on our system ?

Tia,
DL.
