Adam Reichold proposed the following answer: I have pushed code to qpdfview's trunk which will now second guess the print dialog and tries to undo that transform when figuring out the CUPS options. Please do not try this with number-up printing as it will almost surely be wrong. This should be available via the dailydebs [1] soon or you can build from source [2].
