Ok, I think we got our wires crossed. Yes, I agree that it is relatively
straightforward to map from JMS semantics onto AMQP commands.

It is the reverse mapping that I was commenting on (i.e. responding to
the bind request, not issuing it).

Ohhhh... Duh!  So you were talking about using AMQP to abstract out
JMS... seems wacky since JMS AMQP is more concrete and JMS is more
abstract.   And I think you might be right that there is no general
way to do that.
