Kevin A. Smith updated QPID-6:
------------------------------
Attachment: qpid_ssl.tar.gz
Attached is the final version of my work to add SSL support to the Java client
and broker.
To apply the changes expand the file in the top-level qpid directory. You'll
the find inside of java/common, java/client, and java/broker patch files which
should be applied from their respective directories. Lastly, there is a file
named deleted_files.txt in java/common/src/main/java/org/apache/qpid/ssl which
lists several files that can be safely removed from svn entirely.

> In both the client and broker, the SSL support lacks the ability to configure
> basically anything.
> We need to be able to allow the user/administration to configure the
> certificate, keystore and so on.
> On the broker, look at org.amqp.blaze.server.protocol.AMQPFastProtocolHandler
> line 97. From there trace into the org.amqp.blaze.ssl.BogusSSLContextFactory
> which is the class that hardcodes stuff in a way that is very useful for a
> dev environment!
> Basically the task in this jira is to make this whole area fully
> configurable.
