Others can comment, but I understand that it is NOT a rewrite (some code re-use, some new), soAs we went for the complete rewrite option, we can only measure whether or not we have carried forward behaviour correctly from the old to the new with tests.
fixes made on M2 are may / are most likely relevant to it Carl.
