I was able to get the Java client working with openamq with some hacking, and there are plans to make sure that at least to some extent Qpid M2.1 Java will interoperate with both RabbitMQ and OpenAMQ. As Carl mentions, though, the OpenAMQ broker doesn't have enough functionality to make anything like a compliant JMS implementation (as far as I am aware) so it probably won't be terribly useful except for very simple use cases. Is there any particular feature of OpenAMQ that interests you? RG
