Carl,

Good stuff. +1 for the direction.
We could leverage the examples in trunk for c++,python and java as an intro
guide.
The good thing about these examples is that they all interoperate and they
are fairly simple.

We also have a CC build that keeps verifying that the examples all work and
interoperate against each other.
This ensures that examples always work and are inline with the changes done
to the main code base.
