I don't know offhand of any utility for this, but pine/uw-imapd's
"C-client" libraries support a pretty broad array of mail folder
formats, including mbox and some directory-style formats.  If pine can
read the old folders, you might just be able to open them in pine and
save them to mbox forrmat.  Failing that, you might be able to write
something that uses those libraries to copy them over - though figuring
out the library interfaces may be more complex than just cobbling up
your own utility to do it.
