I am running Qpopper version 4.0.3 (non-standalone) on a FreeBSD virtual server. I am having problems with a user trying to access our pop3 server from a system networked with a cable modem and a router.
When using Outlook Express to check the mail server, I get the following request: <135>Feb 4 14:57:14 popper[29454]: (v4.0.3) Servicing request from "ipaddress" at ipaddress The IP address listed in the request is the WAN IP address of the router. The user gets a message saying "The server unexpectedly terminated the connection". On the server, I get a popper.core file. Is this a configuration problem with the users network? Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? I have had similar reports from other users with cable and DSL access. Thank You Edward Waldspurger
