I thought I would pass this along here just in case any of you are in the region and haven't seen this notice:

###
On Saturday, September 10, 2005 the East Central Indiana QRPers will be getting together again at the Maring Hunt Library in Muncie, Indiana. The fun begins at 12:30pm local time.

We have an outstanding line-up planned:

Tony Parks, KB9YIG has agreed to bring us up to date on his popular software defined radio project, the Amazing SoftRock-40 Receiver. By the way, the AMQRP group is now kitting this project.

Then Richard Meiss, WB9LPU will share ways to design and plan a project so that it comes out looking good even with simple tools. Rich's handiwork with CW paddles and keys is legendary and you won't want to miss it!

On top of that, we have a few OUTSTANDING door prizes. Jeff Imel, K9ESE is donating a 31 ft fiberglass telescoping pole that will go home with some lucky attendee. Just in case you don't win one, Jeff will have a supply on hand for purchase. Price is $50 - these are black and have thicker tube walls and a 3/16" tip....twice as thick as the poles offered by other vendors. Take a look here for more info:

In addition, Don Garrett, WA9TGT has donated a finished PC-Board Holder made famous first on our Web site and more recently in the latest issue of QRP Quarterly. These boards are handy as all get out and Donnie is a real craftsman. Some lucky QRPer is going home with one of these. Take a look at his article about the PC-Board holder here:

and a few pics of a holder being used to build a PSK-20:

In addition to these generous donations, we have a handful of other goodies just to make it all interesting!

Directions are on the Web site and there will be someone who can talk you in on the 146.73(-) repeater in Muncie. Email me if you need additional details.

Don't forget to bring something - a project, kit, book, QSL card, photo, anything works. Everyone enjoys seeing what others are up to and it really doesn't matter if it works, looks good, or is worth a dime to anyone else. We want to see it.

This one is shaping up to be our best gathering yet - don't you dare miss it. Make plans to travel to Muncie next week and bring a friend. We have lots of room and there will be free refreshments, snacks and enough grinning to hurt your face. Don't miss it, okay?

I could use some help spreading the word ... feel free to share this info on any QRP mailing list, local VHF/UHF nets, HF nets, etc. Get the word out and beat a path to Muncie. We will see you there!
