Description: MJ will take you through creating your own virtual classroom and demonstrate how to set it up for automated self-registration. During the session, you will create announcements, utilise the document storage area, as well as embed learning objects into your course. By the time you leave you will know how to create discussion boards and be able to create threads and forums along with other important features to ensure you are ready for the Student ICT Expectations and National Curriculum. EQ has released it’s ICT Expectations (http://education.qld.gov.au/smartclassrooms/strategy/dp/studentict.html) and a part of this document is for all students to “participate in collaborative online projects” – Yes, that’s right, even for the P-3 age group. This is the perfect opportunity to find out how easy this process really is.
