Hi

I have a concern about Information management as it often happens in schools,
and wonder if anyone has found a successful way around the problem.

Schools often have a range of web based sites, that often duplicate
information. This either leads to information that doesn't get correctly
updated or doesn't get done because the whole concept is perceived as a waste
of time.

An example might be Course overviews.
They could be on the school website, in a Virtual Learning Environment like
Moodle, and on the school intranet.

Similarly calendars. They exist in sites like TASS (used by some private
schools), Moodle again, and Intranet and school web sites.

Authentication processes like LDAP at least mean that one login fits all, but
there still seems to be so much duplication.

Has anyone suggestions on how they've successfully managed Information to
prevent duplication over a range of web based applications?

Paul
