Rob, We are in the middle of our tablet roll-out, so Year 9 and 12 still do not have them. For students without school-owned tablets, the only solution is to open a classroom at lunchtime or after school and give the students class time to complete assignments. We have been fortunate in convincing the school to allow the 3 IT teachers to do their lunchtime "playground duty" in a computer room. This opens up a room for three lunch-times every week. Many students have taken advantage of this over the years.
I am sure you are posting this question because you are aware of the copyright issues if you allow students to use the school's Adobe CD key at home. Alternatively, I encourage those families that can afford it, to buy one of the smaller Adobe Suites at academic pricing. Only just over $100 or so. Pretty good value really. Just watch the file conversion for Flash files between CS5 and older versions. Easily managed though if students are aware of it. Hey all, we have always struggled with students access to fireworks/flash/photoshop/dreamweaver outside of class time... We have a CS5 site license (500), so have enough licenses to be able to install on student laptops if we were running a laptop program but have had not gone down that path yet.
