Hi Rex In regards to the IS strand; I can suggest some self directed study/reading:
1. Learn DB development from an *old edition *of Graeme Summer’s *Developing Databases with Access*, and practice teaching it the old fashioned way; with a whiteboard and marker. Then, 2. Read the *latest edition* of Graeme Summer’s *Developing Databases with Access*, and practice teaching it with Visio [modeller]. 3. Either way, negotiate some time off classes to visit a good IPT teacher's classroom and do some observations and participate in the lessons; i.e., use the Developing Performance Framework (DPF) as it was intended. I hope this helps...
