I've sat at conferences and said we need more ITS stuff happening here, and this year, put my money where my mouth is!! With a new syllabus, and work programmes due early 2013, my quest is to compile a list of relevant skills that could be woven into our ITS work programmes that will be rich, engaging and relevant. The syllabus rationale talks of rapid change, emerging technologies and harnessing significant opportunities. I put my hand up to do a session - but really as a facilitator only. I'd like some of you to join me in presenting a 2 or 3 minute overview of one unit you may consider doing in 2013 onwards. Or perhaps a Course of Study - maybe you'll do Game Design for a whole year. Tell us how you might weave some magic into that! I've set up a Forum on the QSITE Conference page - http://gc.qsite.edu.au/course/view.php?id=41 you'll need to register (for the site - not the conference), to post stuff to the forum. So, whether you'll be at the conference or not, would you consider posting something in the forum to share with your peers? If you plan to be at the conference, would you consider helping me out by joining me "up front" for 2 -3 minutes to present your ideas for your 2013 Work Programme? I'd hope we may get 10-12 volunteers, which would allow us some time to openly discuss ideas. Please email me at prayner.basilATgmail.com<http://prayner.basilATgmail.com/> if you think you may be able to assist up front during the conference. I know this is a busy time with assessment, reporting and anticipation of a well earned break. But I think (for ITS) this is too good an opportunity to miss!!! Look forward to hearing from you, or seeing you at the Gold Coast. --- You are currently subscribed to qsitecommunity as: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
