I’ve seen it in 2.8 (and older versions) on OS X. I’ve not noticed it in 3.0.0, built with Qt 5.2.0. There is a bug open for the same behaviour in 3.0[2] from someone who didn’t see it in 2.8 - but I don’t know what version of Qt that was built with, so don’t know if it’s a sign that one of the underlying issues is still there. I’d definitely give 3.0 a try, though. I’m using it on OS X and it’s more stable than 2.8.* was (I’ve noticed a very occasional issue with hitting delete when text is selected, but that’s about it).
