I agree, that adding/removing files should be possible and is extremely valuable. But I would love to get some help from cmake to reliably parse the project information first. That is the low-hanging fruit. Being able to add/remove files from CMake files is not going to be easy. I would expect quite a few problems implementing that, so I would love to see the low- hanging fruits picked before venturing there.
