[Qt-creator] How do you debug QtCreator

Seriously, I did it on the weekend to find a bug I now have fixed. But it took a 
massive amount of time until the Creator started with gdb attached, similar 
switching sessions took ages.

I'm on Windows 64 Bit and use MinGW 64 Bit.
Or do you normally not debug directly?
