that's an interesting idea, but a .qmake.cache file (which essentially
feeds variables generated by an external configure tool) is likely to
make that approach unworkable as such. of course one could feed a
specially crafted full configuration to creator, but that diverges from
the zero-conf ideal. i'll think about it.
