After thorough consultations with Mathias, Gunnar and Eskil, my colleagues and I were able to develop an application with a UI that enables a user to find optimal route from the Finnish road network. The applicatiom uses Dijkstra's shortest path algorithm to calculate the optimal route from a starting point to the destination point. The optimal route whenever calculated is drawn dynamically on the desktop and the meta data sent via GSM network to mobile devices using MMS, SVG and XML technologies. This works very well, and we have been planning to apply it to disaster management for the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. I really want Maithias to come up with solid suggestion to offset this anxiety especially to those of us that have almost 99.999% codes based on the Qt Jambi. No doubt that the name sounds mediocre especially in the Nigerian context because, it is vey similar to the common entrance exam to the Universities. This makes it funny whenever a computer science student in Nigeria hears of such a platform.
Cant we still get out of this anxiety by doing more marketing> To Africa as Linux is currently doing? In all, thanks to Maithias, Gunnar an Eskil for their noble skills nad invaluable conributions.
