Dear Qt Mobility stakeholders,

QA testing has continued and we no longer appear to see the reported issues
with Maemo 5, Symbian 5.0 and Symbian^3 platforms.
That said, we have noted that further debugging is required on Symbian 3.1 and
3.2.
That work is continuing as our highest priority, and we hope soon to deliver a
much higher quality package for your usage at the earliest possible time.
Our expectation is that further QA/Development cycles this week will be to good
result and we will keep you regularly updated on progress.

Best Regards,

Min on behalf of Qt Mobility Program Team

Subject: Re: [Qt-mobility-feedback] Mobility 1.0.2 status update

This is the second status update on the Mobility 1.0.2 release.

We have successfully created a package(1.0.2) to verify the fixes to the
critical bugs and run regression testing. Currently no regressions have been
detected but testing has not yet concluded and we intend to continue testing
for a few more days.

Bug: Location on Symbian not working
Status: Fix Verified
Details: 1.0.2 package will be generated with LBT disabled

Bug: Sensors API not working as non-root on Maemo5
Status: Fix Verified
Details: Removed unnecessary attempt to set output range that requires root
privilege

Bug: Non-satellite positioning method not working on Maemo5
Status: Fix for work around Verified

setPreferredMethods() has no effect. Although, the workaround will be
effective, a new task has been created at
http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTMOBILITY-382 in order to resolve more
permanently in a subsequent release.

Bug: Convenience header not working on Symbian
Status: Fix Verified
Details: Script that generates the Convenience headers has been fixed

Bug: Audiorecorder fails on Maemo5
Status: Fix Verified
Details: Number of related issues are fixed in GStreamer backend

Bug: BearerCloud example crashes

Bug: Contacts - "malformed" addresses crash on Maemo5

Subject: [Qt-mobility-feedback] Mobility 1.0.2 status update

This is the status update on the Mobility 1.0.2 release.

Mobility 1.0.2 will include all the fixes that are already submitted to the
repository today. However, this report focuses on the high priority bugs that
necessitated this patch release.

All the bugs listed here already have fixes and they are ready for QA. Due to
the urgency to release 1.0.2 as soon as possible, we will reschedule other
unresolved, low priority bugs and start the QA process from tomorrow. Only
high-priority changes (show-stoppers) will be cherry-picked into the release
branch (qtmobility-releases#1.0.2) from then on.
