Hi,

We were actually just discussing this task yesterday here in Brisbane :-) I've
added a comment to the task explaining the current status, based on the
discussion: "Gradients besides the vertical linear gradient can be
significantly more expensive to draw. So while it's technically fairly trivial
to implement this feature, it's unlikely to be done until it's possible to do
so with reasonable cost." There will be opportunities to address the painting
costs in the coming months, so hopefully this is something that can be
addressed then.

Regards,
Michael

Hi,

is there a way to create a left-to-right gradient instead of a
top-to-bottom gradient? Of course it is possible to rotate the rectangle
that contains the gradient, but it´s rather confusing that height and
width are swapped and all the anchors are changing etc...

Maybe something like an 'orientation' property on the 'Gradient' item?

Thanks!
Conny
