Thanks for your advice.
I found  /usr/local/share/gprconfig/compilers.xml.   (It's not in  /usr/share/ 
on my system.)
I couldn't figure out what to do to fix the problem although as you state, its 
mostly self-documenting.
I've attached a copy. Perhaps you might advise as to what changes I should make.
