Ok I tried that, opened a new shell, but found no change.
The way I get it is I define those variables for the startx process. By
exporting I say 'make this variables available for all of your children'.
Then I 'exec qtile' and in qtile I open an xterm/terminator.
So the env variables should be propagated from startx/xinitrc to qtile
to xterm/terminator.
What part am I getting wrong?

I'm not expert but it's my understanding that xinitrc will only run when
the x server starts, not before your shell.
Try adding
# You probably need to do this too:
export GNOME_KEYRING_CONTROL GNOME_KEYRING_PID GPG_AGENT_INFO SSH_AUTH_SOCK
Into your .bashrc or .profile. I'm not really sure exactly where the
values for these come in!

Hello qtile group,
somehow the environment variables in my xinitrc are not accessible
after startup. Could you help me find the problem?
My login manager GDM starts qtile with "startx /usr/bin/qtile"

if [ -d /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d ]; then

done
unset f

# Start GNOME Keyring
eval $(/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-__daemon --start

# You probably need to do this too:
export GNOME_KEYRING_CONTROL GNOME_KEYRING_PID GPG_AGENT_INFO
SSH_AUTH_SOCK

when I open a new shell afterwards and run

I receive nothing. Any ideas?
