Have a look at the conversation "Mouse callback not working for cal..."
of Mars 20th.
I guess it's the same behavior : the terminal opens, launches the
command, the command ends, the terminal closes. Too fast for our eyes ;)

What happens is that a window briefly opens but closes without showing
