Thanks for your interest and wanting to help out.

My advice would be to learn some python first until you start to feel 
comfortable. Once you do, then you can start playing with Qtile! Have a 
look at the docs, particularly the hacking 
(https://docs.qtile.org/en/latest/manual/hacking.html) and contributing 
(https://docs.qtile.org/en/latest/manual/contributing.html) pages.

If you get stuck then please come and ask us some questions. Best places 
are the discussions page on github 
(https://github.com/qtile/qtile/discussions), irc 
(irc://irc.oftc.net:6667/qtile) and this mailing list.
