Stacy, (and Mark, Tony, & others) Thank you for your wishes! I'm happy to report my grandmother is home from the hospital and currently doing well. Her blood pressure stabilized and the Doc put her back on Valium for her anxiety problems. She was recently given permission to quit. She gets extremely stressed when trying to prepare to go anywhere or do anything out of the ordinary. Other stresses she "internalizes" so as to "not bother others with her troubles." (C'mon Grandma! Let someone else worry about things for a change... eh?)
Also, it seems their trailer was spared.... though the park as a whole is pretty bad off. The park's clubhouse was destroyed as were the first several trailers on the road into the park. Many others were severely beaten. While the trailers just across the street and others only two lots away from theirs were demolished or severely damaged, very litle damage was done to theirs. They had secured it well in May before going north for the summer. It may have been what saved it. Had they been there, living in it and preparing for Charley.... well, Who knows? Thank you all for your thoughts! My uncle and grandfather are taking a truck down to help clean up and retrieve some necessities. Best! Tod Tod, I'm so sorry to hear that your Grandparent's live right where Charley hit. I saw the footage on the news and I saw the damage that it left behind. Please tell your Grandparent's that they are in my prayers and I truly hope that your Grandmothers health holds up through this. Stacy
