Hi Smurf,

Being raised in a military family had it pluses and negatives, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it.  My family stayed in the US when my Dad went overseas.  I know I'd been involved with the military if my number would have come up in the lottery (the draft.)

I'm doing better and getting caught up after being off-line a week. Thanks for asking!

Hi Smurf,

I agree that fighting for your country is amazing, but it's not the only way to represent your country.  The families of those fighting are serving their country and I believe they are amazing.  I was lucky enough to be born into a military family.  I carried a USAF dependents card until I traded it in for my Draft Card just before my 18th birthday.  Having a father in the U. S. Air Force meant I moved around the country a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hi CtrlAltDel,

How are you?  I bet it was an amazing experience being born into a military family, especially being moved around all the time!  Did you live in other countries?  Do you think you would've had involvement into the military if it wasn't already in your family?
