called Craig about this and they suggested cord untethering but, like everyone, only a 50-50 chance of relief.  No guarantees with ANY surgery.  I don't trust anyone now to fiddle around with my cord.  I could come out worse.  No pain meds touch my pain so this stinks.  My severe spasticity is gone though.  Damn near died for that.

I remember Craig saying "never go above the area of injury."  I shoulda heeded their advice but I was green abt the condition and bought into the Brooklyn Dr's idea.  Live & learn.  BTW, his name is Milhorat.

Thank you Lori I appreciate your feedback. Im trying to get my main insurance United Health Care to accept or deny payment for the surgery. Im having problems getting my doc to contact UHC Im calling him the third time tomorrow. If UHC denies payment because Craig is out of network Im going to take the medicare approach and try to tap into my comp insurance that covers items related to my injury. Im not sure how anyone else gets a surgery like this paid for but ts no picnic. Im also not certain if the surgery is the right thing to do since Ive heard everyones feedback on syrinxes on the list. I guess this is where you either crap or get off the pot. I know one thing for sure is Craig is the place to go if you are going to do the surgery. I feel like a fool because i think i contibuted to this syrinx forming with all the weight lifting and swimming ive done. Its like a second accident, as if ones not enough. I sure wish someone would have told me the risks of getting a syrinx but i guess the docs dont know enough about it to cause alarm. Anyway I guess life works out for us all one way or another. WE ARE ALL EQUAL IN THE END........
