I have a lift story, me and my brother (the late bro) were going to his house and when we got there he opened the doors let the lift unfold using the controls inside the van beside the lift and I rolled out and for some reason right over the safety guard on the end of the lift but luckily and how he did I don't know but he grabbed my chair from behind me and kept me from flipping over the end head first and with one hand left the lift down to ground level this was pure strength and nothing more that saved my ass and had a good laugh afterwards because it was partly his fault because he helped me out with some herbal medication because I was hurting so bad that day so it was quite funny after I was ok.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Adventures in chair lifts
Here's one of those "lucky dumbass" stories for you. I came home late one night by myself. I let my lift down level with the van floor as usual. Without paying any attention, I drove out onto the lift. OOPS! I had let the lift down about a foot too far! I did not have my seat belt on either. I took a head first tumble onto the concrete driveway while (thank goodness) my chair stayed on the lift. Luckily I landed on my side and I suffered only a few bruises. The worst part was having to yell for help until the neighbors heard me! You can bet I'm a tad more careful now. God watches out for children and fools! Larry Willis
