I think she was yo-yo dieting before she met her husband. I know she'd lost a lot of weight prior to even meeting him and it had really boosted her confidence. What do you mean "those injuries to her body from her husband"?
I think that her husband held out hope for several years that she might make a recovery, and when he started then saying she'd said she wouldn't want to be kept alive in that state, it referred specifically to being in a PVS with NO HOPE OF RECOVERY. Obviously, he held out hope of a recovery for a long while before accepting reality. I have no idea if this guy is a nice guy or not, but why paint him as someone who abused her when she was alive, wanted her dead against her wishes, was unfaithful in his kindling of a new relationship after she'd been vegetative for more than four years, and someone who was financially greedy and was just after personal profit. I agree that it seems very cruel for him not to allow the family to be in the room when she passed away, but they are in the middle of an intense personal feud, so he probably wants as little to do with them as possible. Still not right, but I don't think the guy is evil! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2005 2:45 PM To: quad-list@eskimo.com Subject: [QUAD-L] Tragedy in the United States-Terri S Sixteen- seventeen years ago, after several heated arguments with her husband about her weight, TerriS entered a syndrome that would change history and lead to her dying a terrible and painful passing. After her death examination is released, I believe that the details of brutal life with her husband and those injuries to her body from her husband will be released to the public. TerriS, started in a self-program which lead to an eating disorder in order to please her husband demands that she lose weight. This unsupervised program lead her to a heart attack and then the condition for 15 years preceding her passing. After her heart attack, her husband file a lawsuit on behalf of TerriS and was successful in obtaining monies to sustain TerriS for life. Shortly after winning the monies, her husband, only then said that was her decision not to live in this condition for the rest of her life. TerriS's family fought her husband for 15 years and 2 weeks. It was a very bitter fight, but because her husband was appointed her legal guardian, the court sided with the husband's allegations of TerriS's wishes. Tonight on ABC, you will have the opportunity to see and hear about the life of TerriS. Let's hope that the facts will be presented in the proper order in which they happened. I sure that by now we all know that in the closing minutes of Terri's life, the husband prevented Terri's parents and family from being with her.
