I'm sure they must have been someone in recent history who has had very similar experiences like Terri's

Of course EVERY SITUATION *IS* different but will Terri's case set a precedent?  If so, a state precedent?  A national one?

For lack of better specific situation at the moment  ... I can only think of the little girl who was kidnapped?  Or was it that a convicted pedophile moved into her neighborhood (residents unaware of this) and abducted and killed her?

Her name is on the tip of my tongue  ... Megan's law?

I think different states agreed to adopt this law.

So... WILL Terris "case" bring something upfront and looked at it as a precedent?

Or is it ultimately up to us all to state our own specific wishes and leave it in writing with lawyers, family, best friend, spouse (more than one I mean so that there can be NO confusion)

We've learned that mankind hasn't learned lessons from history but many laws, organizational peace treaties, etc have been put into effect for no misleading issues or confusions but a stick in the mud can make bad soup of the law that'll throw the law into a tizzy from "extenuating circumstances."
