Hi Lori,
My 'plan' now is to keep my home health care nurses willing to do everything allowable to help with any medical problems. My long-term plan was to have invested wisely and help my sons have a great family that want me living with them in my 'old age'. :-)
With Love,

Medicare home health agencies have pretty much done away with aides sincea few yrs ago. I've been fighting tooth & nail to MAKE the one I'm with live upto its promises when I signed on with them.Getting aides thru Medicare is virtually non-existent anymore. They only wantto provide nursing, OT, PT. All abt money. Therefore we're in the same boat if there is no family willing to step upto the plate to keep him out of a nursing home. My husband has thoseexact concerns. She best try Jewish community services or hiring privately or anything beforeit's too late. Our choices are few too & it's scary. Give her the family caregiver site andask for help!I wish I knew Dave K's "plan."LoriLori MichaelsonC4/5 complete quad, 25 years postTucson, AZ-------Original Message-------From: Eric OlsonDate: 07/24/05 13:27:03To: Your NameCc: quadSubject: Re: [QUAD-L] Dave K and LoriFound out he does have Medicare. He only uses it for wheelchairs. He'sgetting everything else through his wife's insurance. I just prayMedicare can provide some home care so his wife can save her strengthfor the chemo. I don't know what this guy is going to do if his wifedies and Medicare won't help.Your Name wrote:>OK,>6 mo use to be the waiting period.>What State do they live in?>Stunt>>>
