Yes Medicare is for those permanently disabled IF you've worked to pay into it.  But
payments don't start till TWO YEARS after one stops working.  Or 2 yrs after one
gets their SSD payments.

One can also receive it based on parent's income but I think the disability had
to occur before age 21 and parents deceased.  <---- That was my case post-injury
so I got it based on my parent's income.

Then I worked myself and those deductions people have automatically from paychecks...
THOSE are what goes to pay future social security for ya.

MediCARE only pays 80% of medical things so one must purchase a Medi-gap
policy for the other 20%.  These can be found at www.medicare.org

Is Medicare for people who are permanently disabled available regardless
of financial resources?

Preexisting conditions certainly make it more expensive to acquire
health insurance, but how expensive?

I have a private PPO health insurance policy that I acquired before my
injury, and, fortunately, still have and pay for.

I will be in that multi million beneficiary category very soon, but I
think that medicare and the private PPO still have to pay my health care
expenses. I guess I better investigate!

Anybody know about this  kinda stuff-- especially  medicare eligibility

Thanx,
