I should not even call my bowel program a bowel program because I do not use suppositories and I do not use digital stimulation.  My body goes when it's ready to go and most of the time I'm fortunate enough that it's ready when I get lifted out of my wheelchair to go to bed and when I get lifted in the morning before I get dressed.  The "climax" to my bowel movement is if I pass gas after I went while I'm still hanging from my lift.  When I do not pass gas after a bowel movement is when I might have an accident either being lifted to my wheelchair after I have been dressed or sometime during the day, but not always.  So, what I do now, if I did not pass gas, is have my caregiver lay me back down so I'm flat for approximately 5-10 minutes and in the backup and start over.  Most of the time this works but again, sometimes it does not.
