Ya ... we joke abt it being soooooooo much for a square foot.  We'd never pay it!

Many people from Calif are selling their homes for, say, a million dollars then coming here
and buying one for, say, $600K cash.  But still... it's THE DESERT people!  And the
yearly taxes and homeowner's fees aren't cheap!

But if one has that much money to play with ... :o)

Last week & this week we couldn't even get into Costco or Walmart.  NO PARKING
WHATSOEVER!  Handicapped or otherwise.  The snowbirds have arrived.

It's scary as half can barely drive, let alone walk.  All the handicapped spaces you see
plates from Wisonsin, PA, etc etc etc.

It's bad when ya can't even go shopping!

As with any place, it has its ups & downs.  Right now EVERYONE wants to move to the

Hi Lori,
Well, not EVERYONE but it looks like a great place to visit! I checked out your site...$2k will buy you slightly more than 1,000 sq ft. That's an apartment :-). Our neighbor has theirs up for $225,000....same size & nothing special to offer. 3br, 2bath in 1200 sq. ft. Small bedrooms but doesn't hurt to ask. My sister lives in CA & said my house would go for 400,000. Mine is 3,000 w/a large sunroom but if I got 250, I'd smile all the way to  the bank! There's too many cookie cutter homes going up around me with 0% down. But like you say, this isn't going to last much longer.
